This is amazing. The detail of the feathers alone simply is hypnotizing. My god I belive I could study this image for hours and not have studied 1/10th of the detail.

The gradients you managed to pull off with nothing more then a pencil is absolutely stunning. there is such a wide variety of shades here, I am simply blown away at how you did this. This is seriously a masterful work and shows how very, VERY skilled you are with a pencil. Kudo's to you, this is fantastic :wow:

i thought it was a real photograph when i first caught a glimpse at the thumbnail.
Impressive shading! and those feathers are beyond gorgeous. :love:
i could just imagine this raven sitting on my shoulder; it's so realistic looking!

thanks, guys! this drawing is actually a few years old, but i remember really getting into the zone when i was drawing this. in my room by myself, everything quiet...its still one of my favorites

Amazing shading and textures in the feathers.

The head does look a little small..I think if you were to make the feathers on the back of the head and on the throat poof out more, that would make it a little more convincing. Or, if you try another raven, maybe the neck should be ever so slightly longer. This is a beautiful drawing, though, and I hope to see more wildlife art out of you. :)
